Discussion

One response to “Session 1B – flatspace”

  1. Neko says:

Hi Clara, thanks for uploading! Some photos are very nice, some are very confusing (the one with the bag – try simpler shapes, it’s easier to practice with them).
A note on “asymmetry”, it would be much more pronounced if there was more contrast between the dark/red and grey cards (with slightly different distribution):

In the same way, the other asymmetric image could be more pronounced, too:

Don’t be afraid to EMPHASIZE the principle/keyword you’re illustrating, that’s the point of the exercise. It may look easy, but doing it right is really difficult (right = making a composition that everybody sees and can guess the principles you’re illustrating”.

    VERY IMPORTANT:

Please read again the Homework description, especially the technical requirements:
    – Image size: 1080x1080px (your images are 1512x1512px)
    – Grayscale
For your classwork, you don’t have to follow these guidelines, but for homework you should, so always make sure you read carefully what exactly you are required to submit (not only in this class but going forward in anything you do in school or professionally)!
    Thanks :)
