I know you told us not to use a really specific font. However since the graphic was not that shocking I tried to transmit that idea through the text. The broken cable detail is not that clear in jpeg format, I can still re-do it if necessary.

Haha, no, on the contrary, we need to make the graphic shocking! Using fancy font will only do the opposite – weaken the graphic even more…
Let’s see… The cable, and its disconnection, it needs to be much more prominent. Almost cartoon like:

See how this white “star” puts focus on the broken part of the cable (and yes the cable is very thick, so that we can see it’s broken. Finally, a little more focused (and shorter) text helps getting the meaning through.
Important: Don’t use photo for a hand – draw in Illustrator over it, otherwise it will be a very low quality.

See how this now looks more like a russian poster ? :)

Also, keeping the graphics extremely simple, with strong colors and very basic cartoon shapes gives it much more power than trying to make it realistic.

PS. I’m moving this post to 1C, let’s keep 1D for finished work only. :)

Thank you very much for the feedback! I’ll try and re-do it tonight or tomorrow night as latest! Now I see much more clearly that keeping it simple makes it much more effective. I’ll move it right now to 1c!
Hahaha clearly looks more like a Russian poster

Hehe cool. But please watch out, you already missed the deadline! If this was the real competition deadline, all the work you’ve put into this would be for nothing … Watch out the deadlines, and the competition rules! :)

Disconnect them all: yes that now looks much, much better! Don’t know if the word “THEM” should maybe red (because it refers to the buttons, in order to make the visual connection)? Although ALL is also good. Watch out the spelling, it should be: “DISCONNECT”.
    Really good work, thanks !:)

ps – maybe make text a bit more compact so that there is more space between left and right edge of the poster and the text.
