Session 1B | Nov 11, 2015
Could have been really good, but there is something really weird going on with your text – and since the text is almost all of the poster, it ruins the effect. But the good news is – we have a lecture about text next time!
Btw I figured out that the text appears funny on my computer because you saved to SVG, using a font that I don’t have on my computer (that’s why I suggested instead: Save For Web > JPG).
Hi Laura, sorry for my slow response. So I can’t quite judge your design because the fonts didn’t seem to export well to SVG file, however I think I got the zist of it. Now, normally the exhibition of photos will have a photo on the poster, but this is a good opportunity to break this rule. So instead, my poster suggestion is to make it like a confidential top secret document, with “Confidential” stamp and “censored” lines of text. This hiding game has a potential to raise interest / intrigues the viewer to find what this thing is all about, and probably work better than any photo could have done.
It is amazing! I really love the idea and I hope to learn form this for the next project!
